Second Battle of Salvador da Bahia
The Second Battle of Salvador was a military engagement between Dutch forces under Governor John Maurice, Prince of Nassau-Siegen supported by 30 ships (led by Johan van der Mast) and the Portuguese defensors of the city, commanded by Luís Barbalho.
The battle, like the previous one (the First Battle of Salvador da Bahia) was won by Portugal.
